Borova was founded by people who have spent their lives in these mountains — not by an agency that discovered the Balkans last season. Radomir Mikic's more than two decades of climbing, guiding and mountain-rescue experience inform the standards we use to select and vet local partners. We help you find the right direction, honestly and carefully, before introducing you to the people who deliver it on the ground.
Our Story
The Balkans don't need more tourists. They need better journeys. EU-standard equipment
For technical activities, equipment must be appropriate, properly maintained and checked before every activity. Partners are expected to provide gear to EU safety standards — you should never be handed worn out or uncertified equipment.
Small groups, full attention
Smaller groups mean the guide can watch everyone, adjust the pace, and respond immediately if someone needs help.
