June–September for the high peaks (Bobotov Kuk and the big passes can hold snow into early July); September–October is arguably the finest window — stable weather, autumn color, quiet trails. Winter opens a different Durmitor — ski touring and snowshoeing across the high plateau, conditions and dates confirmed with your guide.
